Hestia Care (“we”, “our”, “the App”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Hestia Care mobile application.

Hestia Care is a caregiving and daily management application. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

a. Information You Provide

We collect information that you choose to provide, including:

Name or nickname
User role (Caregiver or Care-Recipient)
Login credentials (email and password)
Daily check-ins (mood, pain level, sleep quality)
Medications and care-related tasks entered by the user
Completion status of tasks and reminders

b. Relationship Data

If you link a Caregiver and a Care-Recipient account, we store the relationship in order to enable shared caregiving features.

c. Usage Information

We may collect limited usage information such as app activity timestamps, app version, and device type (non-identifying).

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not:

Collect location data
Access contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
Record voice or audio
Collect data from wearables or external medical devices
Perform medical diagnosis or health scoring
Sell or share data for advertising purposes

The information we collect is used only to:

Provide and operate the App
Enable caregiving coordination between linked users
Send reminders and notifications you request
Improve app stability and user experience
Ensure security and prevent misuse

4. Notifications

If enabled, the App may send reminders related to medications, tasks, or daily check-ins. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only:

Between linked Caregiver and Care-Recipient accounts
With trusted service providers required to operate the App, under confidentiality obligations

6. Data Security

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and role-based access control. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as your account is active or as required to provide the service.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed and caregiving links will be disconnected.

9. Children’s Privacy

Hestia Care is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 without adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect data from children without appropriate consent.

10. International Use

Your information may be processed on secure servers located in different countries. By using the App, you consent to this processing.
